We in north India herald in Diwali with Dhanteras. We pray to Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity and well-being of all our family members and friends. In 2007, the Big B donated 50 items of his clothing on Diwali, which included embroidered shirts, suits, and jackets and so on, for auction by Oxfam, and the money used for funding their charity work, worldwide.
